Philanthropy is not simply helping someone you know; philanthropy is also helping someone you may not know. It is about the greater good. Philanthropy is the mission of the Philanthropic Women’s Society of the Southeast Health Foundation.

Membership is open to all women interested in supporting the advancement of healthcare in our community. The only membership “requirement” is an annual contribution and a willingness to designate the gift to a selected project, determined by a majority vote of the group. Members of the “Phillies” use the power of collective philanthropy to truly make a difference in the lives of others.

The Philanthropic Women’s Society began with 26 founding members and currently has 54 members. Over the past 6 years the “Phillies” have provided more than $300,000 toward high impact programs offered by Southeast Health. From telemedicine carts to palliative care and training for sexual assault nurses, this group of community-minded women are creating solutions and making a difference in the lives of patients, and their families, here in our community.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining, please call our office at 334-673-4150.
