Southeast Health Foundation Announces 2025 Suzanne and Ronald S. Owen Scholarship Recipients!
The Southeast Health Foundation is proud to announce the awarding of four scholarships from the Suzanne and Ronald S. Owen Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund was established by Ronald S. Owen, former Chief Executive Officer, of Southeast Health, and his wife Suzanne and has been supported by friends and colleagues who wish to honor their contributions to the health system and the community. By establishing this fund, the Owen family made it possible for the Southeast Health Foundation to continue support the educational aspirations of the Southeast Health family.

- Riley Benton, Troy University, graduate of Dothan High School
- Maggie Benton, Auburn University, presently dual enrolled at Dothan High School and Wallace Community College

About the Scholarship
The Suzanne and Ronald S. Owen Scholarship is awarded annually to eligible dependent children of Southeast Health employees who have completed at least five years of full-time service and are in good standing. To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary academic or technical program lasting at least one year. Selection is based on a comprehensive application that includes a personal letter to the scholarship review team, academic performance records, and evidence of extracurricular involvement and community service.
Each year, this scholarship program provides two or more scholarships of $1,000 which may be used toward academic or technical programs at accredited two or four-year colleges and universities.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to this year’s recipients and express our deepest gratitude to Suzanne and Ronald S. Owen for their generous support of our Southeast Health families.
